Product Details

The Blue Mango BMGridXML component is ideal for flexible data entry screens that are driven from a data source. The control is simple to implement in Visual Basic and other programming environments. The data source is a structured XML template file, which can be created and edited with any text editor. Increasingly, databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server, can also be queried to return XML.

The template files adhere to the XML Schema layout which is included. Sample XML template files are provided, together with a demonstration application and all source code, so you will be productive in a few minutes.

The control can display data in both grid or tree format. This and many other appearance attributes are controlled from within the XML file. The data is fully updateable and changes can be saved back to the XML file. Data display formats include text, dropdown list, check box and a button that could open another entry form.
